  Understanding Insurance Terminology

At Urologic Surgery Associates, we accept all insurance plans. Medical billing and payment is very complex. This is partially due to the fact that there are a large variety of different health insurance plans. Each one provides different health care coverage and different benefits. To minimize confusion and provide answers to questions before and after services are rendered, The UroHealth Institute and Urologic Surgery Associates have two full time employees to help our patients make sense of their health care coverage. At anytime during your care with us they are available to answer questions on health care benefits. This means you can contact them before, during or after your appointments, tests, and procedures. Prior to surgery they are especially helpful in explaining coverage so that patients understand billing and payment. This allows the patient to not worry about these issues so they are able to concentrate on a speedy recovery and smooth road back to good health.

We accept a vast amount of insurance plans. A partial list of health care plans accepted follows. The list is not all inclusive, so if you have questions about whether we accept your health care insurance do not hesitate to call and ask.

Some policies require certain guidelines be met prior to being seen. To be sure everything is in order prior to your visit you can read more in the Preparation for your Appointment section. Calling ahead can save time and assure that your visit will go smoothly and without delay. General instructions for common health insurance policies are also available below. At Urologic Surgery Associates, we accept all Insurance plans. We commonly see the following, but we will gladly see all plans:

Blue Cross/ Blue Shield
Private Health Care Policies
